Terms of Service

This is a draft terms of service published ahead of commercial launch. It is pending formal legal review and sign-off before AssistedCV accepts live payments.

1. Your account

You must provide accurate information when creating an account and are responsible for activity under your account. You must be old enough to form a binding contract in your jurisdiction to use AssistedCV.

2. Content ownership

You own everything you put into AssistedCV — your profile data, uploaded documents, generated resumes, and any content you edit or create. We never claim ownership of your professional information or the documents you produce with the service.

You grant AssistedCV a limited license to store, process, and transmit your content solely to provide the service to you (for example, rendering a PDF or sending a request to an AI provider on your behalf). This license ends when you delete the content or your account, subject to the retention window described in the Privacy Policy.

Resume templates, the AssistedCV name, and the underlying software are owned by AssistedCV and licensed to you for personal use of the service — you may not redistribute or resell the templates or platform itself.

3. Subscription terms

AssistedCV offers a Free tier and paid Pro/Premium subscriptions billed monthly in INR through Razorpay. Paid plans may include an introductory trial period, which, when offered, requires your explicit opt-in and will never silently convert to a paid charge without a separate confirmation step.

Subscriptions renew automatically each billing period until cancelled. You can cancel at any time from account settings; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and you retain access to paid features until then. We do not provide prorated refunds for partial billing periods except where required by law.

If a payment fails, your subscription enters a short grace period during which you retain read-only access to existing content, but new AI generation, PDF export, and resume creation are paused until payment is resolved.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to use AssistedCV to:

• Submit false credentials, fabricated employment history, or impersonate another person.
• Upload malicious files, attempt to probe or disrupt the service's security, or circumvent usage quotas.
• Scrape, resell, or redistribute templates, AI output, or other users' data.
• Use the service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of applicable export, sanctions, or data protection law.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, with notice where reasonably practicable.

5. AI-generated content

AssistedCV uses AI to help draft and tailor resume content. You are responsible for reviewing and verifying the accuracy of anything AI generates before using it — see the AI Disclaimer for details.

6. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

AssistedCV is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that using the service will result in interviews or job offers. To the maximum extent permitted by law, AssistedCV's liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid in the twelve months before the claim arose.

7. Changes to these terms

We will update the effective date above and, for material changes, notify active users by email before the change takes effect. Continued use after a change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
